Windows 10 May cumulative update is now heading to consumers and enterprises with several bug fixes and general improvements. Windows 10 is now on the backburner and all cumulative updates or even features are based on the version of the OS. For those unaware, all releases after version are actually based on this version of Windows 10 as Microsoft shifted its focus to the development of Windows 11 or Sun Valley.
Although the base is version for all later releases, the build revision number is still different for all versions. The build and version numbers are different, but bug fixes or the changelog itself are entirely identical. Windows 10 version 21H2, version 21H1, 20H2 and share the same code. The official release note for the patch indicates that the update only contains improvements to address the security issues, but there are some under the hood fixes.
For example, the company fixed an issue that breaks Internet Explorer and crashes the browser when you copy and paste the text. A critical bug that causes a black screen when users try to login to their desktop or sign out has been fixed in this release. Make your apps and app tiles stand out by switching to Light or Dark mode. Under Choose your color , select either Light or Dark mode. Set Light or Dark mode in Settings. Then, just hover over the pin to see a preview of all the open tabs.
Select the Alt key and tap Tab to toggle through all the apps and items you have open, including website tabs in Microsoft Edge. Keep your device even more secure by removing passwords when signing in to Windows with Microsoft accounts on your device.
